Frank P. Verducci (1921-1999) was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. After serving in the US Navy for 3 years, Frank opened his first service station in San Francisco on March 18, 1948. Frank was so successful that he opened two more gas stations on the Peninsula.After selling his gas stations, Frank wanted to pursue his passion for serving the Bay Area automotive needs. So, he opened his first Nash dealership in March of 1954. In 1957, he converted the Nash dealership to a Mercury franchise, which he sold in 1962. On the recommendation of a friend, he applied for a job at Turner Motors (a Ford dealership) in San Bruno. He was hired as the Used Car Manager in 1962. During his employment at Turner Motors, he continued to prove his dedication towards his customers and their needs. This attribute, along with his commitment to quality, caught the eye of the executives at Ford Motor Company. Soon after, he was approached and offered a franchise by Ford Motor Company.Serramonte Ford first opened its doors to the Bay Area on September 1st, 1971 with only seventeen dedicated employees. Serramonte now employs over 180 people. Yes we have grown since that first day, but our commitment to our customers and employees has not changed.
