The various services provided by SHARPER FUTURE are based on the most current research in the field. Staff continually strive to stay informed about new developments in the specialized fields in which we work and to provide state-of-the-art programming with proven effectiveness. Services are delivered by licensed or supervised professionals experienced in the assessment and treatment of forensic mental health and substance abuse issues.

To assist in attaining these goals, we strive to be Expert Resources in providing Social Habilitation and Relapse Prevention services to a diverse population, including individuals who have mental health and behavioral issues. In close collaboration with relevant agencies, we provide intensive, research-based assessment and treatment programs to manage, contain, and reduce anti-social, abusive and self-damaging behavior.

SHARPER FUTURE, originally named "The SHARP Program," was begun in 1995 in response to community need in San Francisco. Two psychologists, Dr. Mary-Perry Miller and Dr. Tom Tobin, drew upon their many years of public-sector experience providing administration and direct services in a community mental health system in order to create the SHARP Program.
