Description

A partner in the firm served for two years as a member of the board of directors of this Chicago landmark not for profit organization. Founded in 1959, the current Secretary of State created an organization for children and teens to provide a recreational, athletic, educational and cultural enrichment experience for the team members. This is a juvenile delinquency prevention program designed to help youngsters grow tall and straight.

As professionals, Shefsky & Froelich attorneys serve the greater Chicago community and beyond by generously providing pro bono legal services at a reduced or no fee to those most in need, but least able to pay. We believe our pro bono activities are a professional duty, and one that is embraced firm wide.

Shefsky & Froelich’s highly-recognized Trusts & Estates practice works exclusively to meet the needs of its clients. Our attorneys consult personally with our clients to base future planning on their values, dreams and expectations. We pride ourselves on being a trusted legal counsel whether it is for conventional estate planning or sophisticated tax and business strategies. Our Trusts & Estates practice offers the complete spectrum of services including will drafting, asset protection, business succession, family office, charitable planning, fiduciary counsel, and if necessary, litigation.

Many of our clients engage in international transactions to take advantage of increasing global business opportunities. We represent both domestic companies doing business in international markets and foreign companies doing business here. These transactions take many forms: direct investment by acquisition, joint venture with foreign partners, creating a foreign subsidiary, and appointing foreign distributors and agents.
