Shields of Honor Security Company was established in January 2003 by Rufus and Vanessa Gillette, Rufus Gillette is a government officer who works in Maryland, Washington D.C. and Virginia. Prior to becoming a government officer, Rufus served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his career Rufus has been taught the importance of structure, discipline, integrity and dependability. Rufus Gillette is the visionary that has developed the idea of Shields of Honor LLC providing security and protection services throughout the United States. Mr. Gillette ensures that the values he has acquired from the United States Marine Corps and the federal system are instilled in all employees of Shields of Honor. Vanessa Gillette is the Administrative Director of Shields of Honor. Ms. Gillette has been the Director of Trade Services at a local trading company for the last 10 years. Vanessa started her career with the trading company as a receptionist and had elevated her status to Director in 1 year. Vanessa oversees all areas of Shields of Honor ’s administrative department. Shields of Honor Security Company LLC has two project managers in their employ. Michael Brown currently oversees one of our larger sites. Michael is a former retail store owner who is familiar with supervising numerous employees and management systems. Mr. Brown has been in the security field for 5 years. Steven Slaughter is currently the officer in charge of all of Shields of Honor ’s armed officers. Steven has been with Shields of Honor for 5 years and has worked at various sites, supervising various numbers of employees. Mr. Slaughter has been in the security field for over 10 years.
