Shore Educational Collaborative is committed to providing every student and adult the best opportunities to be successful. Shore respects and nurtures individual strengths to promote lifelong learning and growth. Highly individualized programs and services are developed and delivered by experienced and knowledgeable professionals. The Collaborative also provides educators and other specialists with broad expertise critical to their own continuing professional development and to providing top quality services.

The mission of Shore Educational Collaborative is to provide the highest quality education offering the student maximum opportunity to develop life skills, achieve academic goals and whenever possible to transition into a public school setting.

Founded in 1975 as a chartered educational collaborative and public entity under Massachusetts law, Shore was originally focused on services for special needs students from pre-school through 22 years of age. Today, Shore has evolved into a multi-purpose educational agency serving students and adults with disabilities and providing professional development seminars, consultation, and financial billing services. Shore has the most extensive level of educational and day training programs for adults with disabilities of all the Collaboratives in the Commonwealth.

The majority of our classrooms are located in the Collaborative ?s public day school site, the Henry W. Owen School. This state-of-the-art facility houses twenty-three classrooms in addition to a full vocational kitchen, computer lab, library and half court gross motor area. In addition to the Owen School, Shore Educational Collaborative leases space from public school districts in order to operate six classrooms in community based programs.
