My wife put together a recipe using ingergients that were all natural, something that would be a good wholesome treat and a way of saying "thanks for the ride" after we got back from the trail. We continue that tradition of creating the finest treats available and now offer that same quality treat to your horse. Sierra Sweets are made with whole fresh apples - not applesauce or concentrates or apple flavorings, but actual fresh apples. We use so many apples, in fact, there"s a pound of apples in every pound of our cookies. It's our first ingredient. Our second ingredient is molassas, and lots of it We then use rolled barley, rolled oats and bran. Thats all! We use only natural ingredients. There is no water added, no artificial flavors, no artifical colors and no preservatives. Sierra Sweets are baked nice and hard for several reasons. First of all, they give your horse a good crunch and some good chew time, chew time that equates to satisfaction for your horse. Secondly, they will stay fresh till the last one.
