Signet Technologies is an information technology company that is focused on the physical security needs of our clients. We have extensive experience in deploying the full spectrum of systems and equipment, and a 17-year track record of successfully completing hundreds of programs and projects for both government and commercial clients.

Bill Burgess has over 30 years of leadership experience in all aspects of the electronic security systems industry. Prior to starting Signet Technologies, Bill founded, managed and led ISS, Inc., a leading Washington, DC metropolitan area firm specializing in complex & highly-secure commercial and government electronic security systems integration. Bill directed ISS from start-up to over $27M in sales, then negotiated the sale of ISS to Tyco/ADT. He then served in various senior executive roles within Tyco including directing Tyco’s M&A efforts within the physical security industry.

Signet Technologies was established to leverage the decades of experience of its founders and key managers into a single performance-oriented, independent resource for IT and security professionals.

Signet is a true systems integrator of IT and physical security systems, as opposed to an electrical/HVAC contractor, commercial security installer, systems integration ‘generalist’. Signet is uniquely qualified to provide coherent system, technology and infrastructure recommendations to our customers and clients; recommendations that are based on objective analysis and field experience.
