Silverman/Borenstein was established with the viewpoint of providing high quality legal services to clients that range from large financial institutions with sophisticated claims to individual creditors who need representation on a simple matter. We provide legal services in the areas of commercial and consumer debt collection, both national and international, regulatory compliance, subrogation, bankruptcy, replevin, foreclosure, landlord/tenant, post judgment enforcement and domestication of judgments. We help our clients develop strategies for debt collection litigation management as well administration of their accounts receivable. Our primary concern is to utilize an approach that will make economic sense for the client.

We provide litigation defense under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act as well as similar state laws. We also represent debt collectors and collection agencies in matters before state regulatory agencies. The Firm regularly provides advice to clients on licensing requirements and compliance matters.
