David earned his Bachelor Degree (B.A.) from the University of Texas at Austin in 1976, with a major in History. He earned Juris Doctorate Degree (J.D.) from the University of Houston in 1981. He was admitted to practice in Texas that same year. Mr. Simmental soon joined the legal department of Cooper Industries, a Fortune 100 company headquartered in Houston, Texas, as staff attorney/real estate manager. Mr. Simmental was then appointed as an Assistant City Attorney for the City El Paso, Texas; providing advice to the Housing Rehabilitation Board and the Industrial Development Board. In 1983, Mr. Simmental believed that he could be more effective in helping people deal with probate and real estate issues in his own practice. He practiced as a sole practitioner in El Paso, Texas for eighteen (18) years. In 2000, Mr. Simmental moved to Denver, Colorado and founded Simmental Law, LLC. The following year, he was invited to become an associate of the law firm of Riggs, Abney, Neal,Turpen, Orbison & Lewis, in their Denver office. He successfully practiced with that Firm for seven years then renewed his individual law firm again. Mr.

Simmental Law is a Colorado Probate Law Firm but we provide legal services in a variety of related areas of law. Estate Planning We can provide you with expert advice in preparing your Last Will and Testament, Financial Powers of Attorney, Medical Powers of Attorney, Living Wills and Testamentary and Inter Vivos Trusts. We can assist you in designating who should be your guardian if the need arises. We are able to complete your estate plan on an expedited basis if you are planning a trip or require hospitalization.
