We use advanced building science principles and diagnostic equipment to look at all the components of a home -- heating/cooling equipment, insulation levels, air infiltration, windows / doors -- to show you exactly how to maximize energy efficiency. A whole house ventilation system is used to provide uniform ventilation throughout a house at a rate that can be controlled to meet various needs. This type of system is usually considered when it is determined that natural ventilation isn't enough to keep air quality healthy, even with spot ventilation usage. Whole house ventilation systems utilize fans and duct systems that can either send indoor air outdoors or supply fresh outdoor air into the home, or a combination of both. To qualify for Energy Trust of Oregon ceiling insulation measures, ventilation must be increase to the appropriate amount (1-sq. foot of net-free vent for every 500-sq. feet of attic area).
