Skyart is often called upon to restore or reproduce historic weathervanes for barns, churches and public buildings. When we restore original work, we are at pains to preserve as much of the original fabric as possible. We have also reproduced work from existing salvaged work and from pictures to recreate as much historic detail as is possible. We take care to insure that our work is as durable as the original or more so. After all, we have the advantage over the original metalsmiths of being able to observe the cause of failure and to correct it.
