Richard Moore - DDS ABDSM Dental Director Curriculum Vitae (PDF) Dr. Richard W. Moore, a general dentist from Vancouver, Washington is a 1977 graduate of Northwestern University Dental School. Dr. Moore has lectured widely throughout North America since 1993, on the topic of dentistry's role in the management of the airway. An early member, he was elected to a three-year term (1996-1999) on the board of directors of the (ADSM) Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (www.dentalsleepmed.org), an international society dedicated to the dissemination of current information in this growing field of dentistry. He also served as the Chairman of the Corporate Relations Committee. Dr. Moore is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Efforts of the ADSM have resulted in concurrent international meetings with the Association of Professional Sleep Societies annually in June. The ADSM has members on standing committees of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Dr. Moore has limited his practice to airway management. As President and CEO of a commercial dental laboratory and dental manufacturing company (Comfort Acrylics, Incorporated - www.comfortacrylics.com ), Dr. Moore has participated in the research and development of appliances that hybridize mandibular repositioning with nasal and oral positive airway pressure. Comfort Acrylics, Incorporated is a certified, ISO 9001 compliant, medical device manufacturer, in compliance with all provisions of the federal code regulating the fabrication of medical devices. Dr. Moore is the co-inventor and developer of Talon ®, a thermoplastic methacrylate sold to dental laboratories from Halifax to Perth. Joseph Zelk - MS FNP BC DNP cand Medical Director Nationally known speaker on sleep disorders and cardiovascular disease. He is an editor for sleep disorders-related articles for the Nurse Practitioner, Journal of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. He has a comprehensive grasp of the full spectrum of sleep disorders. He is a speaker for the Sleep Consultants Network, Takeda Pharmaceuticals and previously a national speaker sponsored by Cephalon Pharmaceuticals. Other national sponsors have included Glaxo-Smith-Kline, and Sepracor. He has been an investigator for for multisite randomized controlled clinical trials on Requip XR and a novel hypnotic. He was a lead coordinator and was a chief sleep education advisor/consultant to the Sleep Disorders teaching videos series published and currently circulated by Wired.MD. This series is currently being used by large sleep diagnostic centers for improved patient education. One customer is Sleep Services of America Sleep Laboratories. Joe Zelk is the only Family Nurse Practitioner in the country to have been the Clinical Director for a regional Sleep Disorders Center. He has published articles both on the topics of Insomnia Management, Interdisciplinary Management of Sleep Disorders Breathing, Fatigue Management Protocols for Shift-Workers, The treatment of Excessive Somnolence, and multi-media presentations on complex cardiac valvular assessment, as well as, advanced assessment of complex electrocardiographic findings on the 12 lead ECG.
