SlickEdit 2013 is a cross-platform, multi-language code editor that gives programmers the ability to code in over 50 languages on 9* platforms. This latest version builds on the company’s 24 years of experience in enabling developers and development teams to create, navigate, modify, build, and debug code faster and more accurately.

Matthew Etter joined SlickEdit in 2005. Mr. Etter has over 15 years of experience in software development, working with a wide variety of languages and platforms. Previous to joining SlickEdit he worked as a developer for Stingray Software (acquired by Rogue Wave) and ClearChannel Outdoor. In 2011 he was promoted to the role of Director where he leads the development team and continues to write code, focusing on the Mac platform. Mr. Etter holds a BA in Linguistics from Wake Forest University.

The Komodo Ruby debugger consists of client code wholly written by ActiveState Software Inc. (ActiveState), which uses the ruby-debug library. The two parts of the code are licensed differently. The ActiveState code consists of all files but the plain-text Ruby file "ruby-debug-base.rb" and the binary file "ruby_debug.so". The ActiveState code is released under the non-GPL alternative of the Ruby License, which can be found at: http://www.ruby-lang.org/en/LICENSE.txt Ruby is copyrighted free software by Yukihiro Matsumoto .
