The Slow Food NYC monthly Happy Hour! It’s fun, social, and informal. But it’s also your opportunity to talk to the leadership of Slow Food NYC and let us know what you think. Got a great idea for an event? Looking for ways to get involved? Want to learn more about Slow Food? Just looking to have a relaxing drink with other “Slow” minded people? The Slur is your opportunity. A relatively new soccer-focused neighborhood spot that caters to foodies and footie fanatics alike, Woodwork is an eco-friendly Vanderbilt Avenue bar made of oak floorboards salvaged from an old dairy farm in Massachusetts. Most of its products are recycled, environmentally-friendly, and energy-efficient, and the food is organic when possible. Woodwork sources its ingredients from local farmers and is dedicated to serving corn-product-free, hormone-free fresh food. There’s a full selection of beer, wine, and cocktails, along with a bar menu offering pulled pork, truffle mac and cheese, and an assortment of sandwiches. For our Slur, the bar will be offering $4 lychee margaritas.
