Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP holds a long-time commitment to providing significant free legal services to low income people. Our rewarding service ranges from staffing legal clinics at a homeless shelter, to accepting referrals from Legal Aid of North Carolina, to representing defendants charged with capital crimes, to participation in the Justice 4 All campaign. By giving back, we have an opportunity to improve the justice system by making it accessible to people of limited means, to shape and become integrally connected with the community in which we live, and to learn more about ourselves.

Click here for more information. Diversity Training An attorney retreat was dedicated to understanding and promoting diversity. A two-day workshop conducted by a nationally recognized speaker and author on workplace diversity was paired with community outreach assignments for all attorneys to work and play with children in day care and afterschool care settings, and to paint, landscape and maintain community service facilities in Greensboro, North Carolina.
