The Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) is a professional association of more than 20,000 CPAs working together to improve the profession and better serve the public interest. Founded in 1897, the PICPA is the second-oldest CPA organization in the United States. Membership includes practitioners in public accounting, industry, government, and education. Headquartered in Philadelphia, PICPA has a government relations office in Harrisburg and a western regional office in Pittsburgh.

We retain records relating to professional services that we provide so that we are better able to assist you with your professional needs and, in some cases, to comply with professional guidelines. Such records are retained, however, for so long as necessary to fulfill the stated purposes of our engagement and thereafter either destroyed or returned to the client as directed. In order to guard your nonpublic personal information, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with our professional standards.

We’re a reflection of our history. Our firm was founded in 1976 by Brion R. Smoker, who was then joined in 1986 by the late Kevin L. Smith.

Ms. Culp is a proponent of international accounting and audit standards through her involvement in INPACT and its sister organizations, an association of independent accounting firms dedicated to promoting high-quality standards of financial reporting and auditing practices worldwide. She has spoken on auditing and accounting issues and corporate fraud at many international conferences. She is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
