Since its inception in 1949 in Solon, Ohio, Solon Manufacturing Company has engineered products for industry worldwide. Sound engineering resulting in practical answers is the basis upon which Solon designs and manufactures all of its products. This philosophy was the basis for developing the early products such as Solon Relief Valves and continues today with Solon Belleville Springs and Solon Industrial Controls. Solon Relief Valves were used most notably on John Glenn's space suit on his historic orbit of the earth in 1962.Solon Mfg. Co. focused on its production of industrial controls and Belleville Springs shortly after relocating to Chardon, Ohio in 1960. Since then, both product divisions have evolved in an effort to continuously solve the current problems of our customers. Updating our engineering, production and inspection techniques during the past 35 years has tightened controls in the production process and improved the consistency and quality of our products.Solon Mfg.
