BRIAN HARRISON: PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER Mr. Harrison joined Solyndra as President and CEO in July, 2010. Previously, he served as President and CEO of Numonyx, B.V. and Numonyx, Incorporated from 2008. Prior to Numonyx, Mr. Harrison served as Vice President and General Manager of the Flash Memory Group of Intel Corporation, where he managed all flash memory businesses. Mr. Harrison’s career at Intel included roles as Vice President and General Manager of Intel Europe, Middle East, and Africa, where he was responsible for regional product sales and marketing, and General Manager of Fab/Sort Manufacturing, where he managed worldwide wafer production facilities. Harrison has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Stanford University, and an MBA from Santa Clara University. DR. CHRIS GRONET: FOUNDER AND CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD Dr. Gronet was Solyndra’s Founder and serves as Chairman of the Board. He previously served as CEO after founding the company in May 2005. Before founding Solyndra, he spent 11 years at Applied Materials, Incorporated, a semiconductor manufacturing equipment company, most recently as Vice President and General Manager of the Transistor, Capacitor and Gate product group. Dr. Gronet founded G-Squared Semiconductor Corporation (acquired by Applied Materials). Dr. Gronet also worked at SERA Solar Corporation, where he pioneered new photovoltaic technologies. Dr. Gronet holds over 20 U.S. patents in thin film and related technologies. He holds a B.S. in materials science and a Ph.D. in semiconductor processing, both from Stanford University. BEN BIERMAN: EVP, OPERATIONS AND ENGINEERING Ben Bierman currently serves as Executive Vice President, Operations and Engineering. He is responsible for worldwide engineering and operations at Solyndra, including the Fab 2 expansion project. Since he joined the company in August, 2006, Solyndra has produced over 16 million modules, shipped over 65 MW of solar panels and expanded the Fremont, California campus to more than one million square feet. Prior to joining Solyndra, Mr. Bierman served as the Vice President-Business Management of Coherent, Incorporated, a laser and laser systems manufacturing company from 2005 until 2006. Mr. Bierman served as Managing Director at Lam Research Corporation, a semiconductor manufacturing equipment company, from 2003 to 2005. Previously, during an eight-year tenure at Applied Materials, Incorporated Mr. Bierman served as Director of Engineering and Technology, and Managing Director of two product units. W.G. BILL STOVER, JR.: SVP, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER Mr. Stover joined us as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer in December 2007. From June 1989 until August 2007, Mr. Stover served in various capacities at Micron Technology, Incorporated, a manufacturer of semiconductor devices, most recently Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Stover holds a B.A. in business administration with an accounting emphasis from Washington State University.
