Since 2003, Somera, its principals, and affiliates have invested and managed assets exclusively for Somera Realty Value Fund (SRVF), a closed-end real estate private equity fund with approximately $132 million of capital committed from institutions and high net worth investors. SRVF has a private REIT embedded in its structure in order to block unrelated business taxable income (UBTI) for its tax-exempt investors.As of January, 2005, Somera has acquired a diversified portfolio consisting of 47 properties with an original cost of over one billion dollars. Somera has a consistent history of making successful real estate investments using a value-added strategy, and will continue to build its real estate investment portfolio through a series of closed end private investment funds.Somera's management team members have substantial experience in real estate acquisitions, financing, dispositions, and asset and property management. Somera's 15 professionals have an average of 16 years of experience in the real estate industry and include recipients of M.B.A., J.D., and C.P.A. degrees or certificates. Somera's four senior managers have an average of 23 years of experience in the real estate investment management business.
