Manufacturing facilities. Food processing plants. Custom distribution centers. It’s exactly these types of industrial buildings that have served as the cornerstone of Somerville’s work for more than 65 years. And we do it well. Sure, in part it’s because in that time we have acquired an extensive knowledge of complex piping design, material handling systems, specialized ventilation, instrument and controls engineering and much more.

A house of worship is a place of peace and comfort. A sacred space where faith is fortified and spirits uplifted. A place of joyous celebration and solemn reflection. Drawing on its vast experience in designing churches, family life centers and similar environments, Somerville is able to create environments that help fulfill the many facets and roles of buildings devoted to worship. Moreover, our vast experience in designing schools and multi-purpose buildings allow us to deftly complement these structures with ancillary environments that enhance the experience of the parish community.

Somerville has served L/C very well in our pre-referendum work. Project Managers and Architects have consistently displayed a positive energy in working with our teachers, Administration, Board and citizens. They have been eager to meet with groups of stakeholders and demonstrated a genuine talent and insightfulness in listening carefully to issues and concerns. Our Board, employees and citizens believe Somerville is truly interested in addressing our unique needs.

Somerville Architects and Engineers seeks a degreed P.E. with a minimum 10 years of experience in design of power distribution, lighting and building communication systems for educational, healthcare and/or commercial buildings. LEED accreditation and RCDD certification is highly desirable. Candidate must be able to effectively communicate with clients and function at a high level within a design team environment. Depending upon qualifications and experience, electrical discipline supervisory responsibility is also a possibility.

Somerville Inc. has worked with the Green Bay School District on many projects over the past 50 years, and has been a strong advocate for education. Their latest project, which is considered to be a great success, is Green Bay East High School. A team of architects and engineers led by Mr. Mike Kadow worked on this building with our staff and succeeded in adding nearly 100,000 sq. ft. of new construction and over 60,000 sq. ft. of remodeling work over a three year schedule while regular classes were being conducted.
