Dr Phillips has been my eye doctor for a number of years and I have always been happy with his service and expertise. But it wasn't until I decided to have LASIK eye surgery with another provider and had some complications that I realized what an incredible doctor he really is. I had made an appointment for LASIK surgery with Dr. Phillips when he was working with Icon Laser Clinic. My surgery was postponed due to a dispute between them. I got impatient and decided to go to the nearest Icon clinic which was in Vancouver Canada. During the first cut, the machine lost suction and made too thin of a flap. They stopped the procedure and sent me home, telling me to call my eye doctor on Monday. When I got home I called Dr. Phillips immediately. He told me to come into the office immediately and he saw me that day, on Saturday. What ensued were 2-3 visits to his office a week for about 4 weeks. Then 1 visit a week for a couple months. Then a couple visits a month and eventually once a month. After a little more than a year passed I was ready to have a surgery to remove the scar tissue and try to get my eye back to its 'normal' state. Dr. Phillips performed the surgery and all the after care over the next 6 months. All of this care, from my first Saturday visit through my surgery after care was for NO CHARGE! I didn't pay him a penny and he cared for me as if I was paying cash for each visit. After I had recovered from the corrective surgery I elected to have Dr. Phillips perform a LASIK surgery on both eyes. I paid for this surgery and it went very well. That was several years ago and I just had a FREE enhancement, on my right eye at the end of October 2009. I could not be happier with Dr. Phillips skill, knowledge and the way he cares for me as a patient. I would recommend him to anyone I know. I choose Sound Eye and Laser because of Dr. Phillips’ expertise and experience.
