Southern Architectural Woodwork was founded by Charles Porter in 1983 as a small, one-man shop with very big aspirations. We have since grown to become one of the premier woodworking companies in the world.Southern manufactures woodwork of the highest quality for commercial interiors and public spaces. Our work can be seen in corporate headquarters, at fine universities and in upscale offices around the nation.At Southern we are able to adapt ourselves to almost any type of client. We perform all design and manufacturing functions in-house, and we have developed a highly refined approach to satisfying the architects, contractors and owners who are our customers. Also, we are flexible enough to work on a negotiated fee or a contract basis.
