Description
We specialize in Allen Bradley® and GE Fanuc® PLCs but have experience with most brands currently on the market.
Southern Automation was founded in September of 1996 by Jack Cameron, Gary Purdon and David Winstead, with a mutual goal to become the best systems integrator in the area. Our sales for 1997, with three employees, were $152,842. In 2000, with twelve employees, our sales exceeded $1.2 million. We have strived to grow not only in size but also in the complexity of the projects we undertake. In order to reach our goal to be the best, we must have the best employees and use the best components and technology available.
About 10 years ago our business realized to remain competitive and lead in the industry we needed to invest heavily in manufacturing variation and the technology to support such variation. Investing in high technology presented one major challenge for us - sustainability. In the end, we decided to invest internally with engineers and externally with a technology partner. We chose SAC as our external technology partner. We have never regretted the decision and in fact, we believe that partnering with SAC is of the top ten reasons our company is successful today.
To strive every day to become the leading and most trusted system integrator in the region. This means working closely with our customers, understanding their business, and establishing long-term relationships with them.
Our programming staff has over 65 years of combined experience programming all types of control applications including conveying, packaging, product testing, servo, heat and flow PID, material handling, chemical application, crane automation, and paint systems.
