Engineering Geology applies geologic sciences to engineering practice for the purpose of assuring that geologic factors affecting the location, design, construction, operation and maintenance of engineering works are recognized and adequately provided for. Whether a project requires research, surface reconnaissance, subsurface exploration, seismic traverses, or data acquisition and analysis, our staff has the experience necessary to provide reliable information. We can assist in various aspects of the project from site planning through site grading and development.

The Montage Hotel at Vista Serena Resort is being built on a 1,300-acre oceanfront parcel in San Jose del Cabo. The high-end beachfront hotel will be comprised of private residences, a beach club, resort spa, conference facilities, administration and maintenance buildings and an 18-hole championship golf course. Utilities include a 1 million gallon Reverse Osmosis Seawater Desalination Plant, feed a 500,000 gallon partially buried concrete potable water reservoir, a 320,000 gallon wastewater treatment facility, eight sewage lift stations, and an irrigation storage lake.

There are two neighborhoods in this masterplanned community of Terra Lago located in Indio, California. The Cristallo community consists of one and two story single-family homes, and the Lido community on the Lake consists of two story attached multi-family homes. Other projects included a clubhouse/recreation center, a pump station, and two bridges crossing a man-made lake.

SCS&T provides on-call Geotechnical, Materials Testing, and Special Inspection Services for various projects for the City of Chula Vista. We have been providing on-call services since 2007. Palomar Gateway Street Light project was one of the initial projects completed for the City of Chula Vista.
