Each leaders in their own industry and combined create a transportation force that second to none. Robert J. Fauls, Jr. founded Southern Freight, our asset division in 1980. What began as a two-truck operation is today a company with over 200 power units and 400 trailers. SFI employs 250 people as well as 75 contract employees. Its extensive service network provides superior truckload transportation in regional and long haul markets. Great service at a fair price has been our philosophy from day one. In 1990, Mr. Fauls formed Southern Cargo Services, a company designed to meet our customer’s need for brokerage and third party logistics. Today, Southern Cargo Services partners with over 7000 carriers providing multifaceted transportation solutions to our customers nationwide. As our companies continued to grow, so did the needs of our customers. SFI Dedicated Logistics was incorporated to fulfill a growing need for dedicated equipment to provide switching, shuttling and yard management services.
