Ms. Jackson has served as a member of Spartan Stores Board since 2010. Ms. Jackson is President and Principal of BeecherJackson, Inc., a human resources management consulting firm that she co-founded in 2006. From 2002 to 2005, she served as Senior Vice President, Corporate Human Resources of Pfizer, Inc., a global pharmaceutical company with over 100,000 employees whose stock is traded on the NYSE, where she was responsible for overall strategy development and the execution of Pfizer’s company-wide human resources policies and initiatives.

Mr. Sturken has been serving as Chairman and a member of the Spartan Stores Board of Directors since 2003. Mr. Sturken was Chief Executive Officer of Spartan Stores from March 2003 to October 2008, President of Spartan Stores from March 2003 to October 2007, and Chairman of the Board of Spartan Stores since August 2003 (including Executive Chairman from October 2008 to February 2011).
