Spates Fabricators was founded in 1976 on strong principles of integrity, providing quality products and superior customer service. We design and build open web wood floor and roof trusses for the residential and commercial building industry.

Whether a complex custom home or a high production project, we are dedicated to providing superior quality and service to the building industry of Southern California.

Spates Fabricators has the ability to quickly ramp up our production capacity to meet the needs of our customers. With our current manufacturing lines, we can produce 25 average 2,000 square foot houses a day.

Lumber is a significant part of our product. Our quality control team evaluates all lumber that is shipped to our manufacturing facility. This gives us the information we need to purchase the highest quality lumber. We inventory 3 main categories of lumber. Kiln dried (KD) machine stress rated (MSR) Spruce Pine Fir (SPF), kiln dried (KD) Doug Fir (DF) and green Doug Fir (DF). This gives us the flexibility to supply the right product based on specifications, region, budget or preference of the framer or builder.

With two skill saws and two nails guns, Tom and David Spates started Spates Fabricators. They built the business around strong principles of integrity, quality products and customer service. At the peak of the market, we had 300 employees and produced over 4,000 units a year. Today, with our highly experienced staff we have the ability & flexibility to accommodate our customer's needs.
