SpatiaLight, Inc. was founded in 1989 as Sayett Group, Inc. to acquire the Sayett Technology Division of Eastman Kodak. At that time, the Sayett Division was developing display systems for personal computers based on liquid crystal technology. Spatialight subsequently acquired interests in three other companies with expertise in liquid crystal technology and has continued a program of innovative engineering that has lead to today's advanced imagEngine ™ display.In 1997 SpatiaLight received the prestigious Photonics Circle of Excellence Technology award which recognized the value of the innovations SpatiaLight had brought to the marketplace in its products. SpatiaLight also won the Laser Focus Commercial Technology Achievement Award that same year.SpatiaLight has its corporate headquarters in Novato, California along with its engineering and administrative facilities. The company has established considerable relationships with integrated circuit foundries and optical laboratories worldwide that provide the state-of-the-art manufacturing resources needed to ensure delivery of quality displays on time and at the best price.
