Description

Mike Dyar is the senior financial executive for SpectraSensors, Inc. Prior to joining SpectraSensors, Dr. Dyar was the Chief Financial Officer of Direct Drive Systems Inc, then a venture-backed, start-up company, producing high-speed, high-power permanent magnet motors and generators. Dr. Dyar was instrumental in the 2009 exit / sale of Direct Drive Systems to FMC Technologies. Previously, Dr.

SpectraSensors, Inc., the manufacturer of WVSS-II, was incorporated in 1999, as a technology spin-off of the NASA/Caltech Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, CA. SpectraSensors is headquartered in Houston, TX, with Engineering and Manufacturing performed in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, outside Los Angeles, and Program Management of Atmospheric Programs conducted from Bethesda, MD, near Washington DC. In June of 2012, SpectraSensors was acquired by Endress+Hauser, a large privately held sensor company operating throughout the globe.

Founded in 1953 by Georg H Endress and Ludwig Hauser, Endress+Hauser has been solely owned by the Endress family since 1975. The Group has developed from a specialist in level measurement to a provider of complete solutions for industrial measuring technology and automation, with constant expansion into new territories and markets.

Dr. Feitisch adds over 25 years of experience in senior management, business development, entrepreneurship and expertise in development, design and fabrication of lasers and laser based instruments to Spectrasensor’s management team. Prior to joining Spectrasensors, he served as CEO of Comlase NT AB. He became one of the founders of this Sweden based start up, productizing ultra high power semiconductor laser technology, after a 14 year career in senior management, business development and engineering at Spectra-Physics in Mountain View, California.

George Balogh joined SpectraSensors in January 2003 as the Chief Executive Officer. Up until that time, George was Senior Vice President and founder of the Passive Telecom Group at Spectra-Physics, a $30M division of a publicly traded corporation. He brings 23 years of management experience in optical components and instrumentation industries to the company. In his past 13 years at Spectra-Physics, Balogh was responsible for developing and executing the company’s optical component and thin film product strategies.
