IMA-HONG KONG, LTD. is the Far East headquarters, responsible for sourcing, product development, production QA/QC and direct sales to customers outside North America. When IMA in the U.S.A. was founded in 1969, the company pioneered direct import programs for U.S.A. based purchases of consumer electronics products from Japan. It was evident at that time that Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea would soon emerge as competitive manufacturers of consumer electronics, and that an additional Far East base outside of Japan would be essential to the future development of the company.

At Spectra, environmental and social responsibility is a core value of our business. We are working diligently with our community, our customers, our strategic partners and our suppliers on eco-friendly initiatives which play a key role in Spectra's products and operations. Welcome to Spectra! For over 40 years, Spectra Merchandising International has been a leading provider of fun, contemporary and affordable consumer electronics. Spectra has been supplying JENSEN brand audio and video products since 1998. Launched in January 2014 is a full, new line of First Alert branded products. In partnership with Marino Andriani, LLC. in 2002, we offer a variety of Hello Kitty , Paul Frank , Studebaker , and Karaoke Night brand electronics. Where we’ve been: In addition to a history of selling to retail stores that dates back to 1975, we have been doing drop shipment and direct-fulfillment for over 15 years. We’ve sold and continue to sell our products to an increasing number of e-tailers. Over this time we've honed our processes, team, and the ways we do business. We look forward to building a relationship with your site and supplying great products from start to finish.

At the January 2014 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas Spectra launched a completely new line of FIRST ALERT branded “Electronic Preparedness” products. The brand is licensed only to Spectra by BRK Brands of Aurora, IL who have been the manufacturer of FIRST ALERT branded products home-safety products for 50 years. First Alert is the most recognized and trusted provider of safety and security products, helping protect the lives and well-being of our customers, and widely recognized as the most reliable and innovative in the business.
