Spherotech was established in 1992 to manufacture and supply uniform microparticles for biomedical and diagnostic applications. It is located in Libertyville, Illinois, about 35 miles north of Chicago. From its inception, Spherotech has established itself as a reliable source of various microparticles. Our experienced staff working in our well-equipped laboratory and manufacturing facility routinely makes high quality latex, fluorescent, paramagnetic, ferromagnetic and various colored microparticles. The surfaces of these particles are modified with functional groups to suite various applications. We also manufacture particles that are coated with various antibodies or ligands such as avidin, streptavidin and biotin for immunological applications.Microparticles manufactured by Spherotech are used in applications such as fluorescence immunoassay, enzyme immunoassay, fluorescence microscopy, confocal fluorescence microscopy, flow cytometry, image cytometry, magnetic cell separation, magnetic particles EIA and many other applications.We specialize in custom product development, special packaging and bulk supply of particles.
