Description

Jason has been here over a year and is officially calling the Hudson Valley home. A great transition to the club where he is heavily involved in the adults and juniors ranging from USTA teams to junior programs. He brings 20 years of teaching experience to the team here at Sportsplex. He has worked with USTA/ EASTERN as being a Zone Team Coach at the Eastern Boys and Girls 14’s. Currently he works with the USTA/EASTERN as the tournament director here for the junior tournaments held at our club.

Nick Hummell has a rich tennis playing history. He has played World Futures events reaching a ranking of #249 on the Professional Open List and #27 on the Mens USTA Open National List. In 2006 he was the #1 USPTA player in the East. In addition to being recognized as a skilled player Nick is also recognized as a skilled teacher. For over 20 years he has been recognized for his outstanding record of continuing education with the USTA and USPTA. He has represented the USTA Eastern Section as a coach for Zone Teams and competitive training centers. In 2004, he coached the Girls 14?s to the Zone Team Gold Medal. In addition to training Sportsplex’s junior competitive players, Nick is also involved with teaching adults and coaching USTA adult teams. His knowledge and passion for competition make him a great asset to all of Sportsplex’s tennis programs.

We use athletic skill development and our games approach to enhance your child’s tennis experience. Whether your child is just beginning tennis or moving up from Future Stars, we provide a team environment to make it fun as well as prepare them for team sports.

Nick brings 7 years of coaching experience to Sportsplex. As a proud member of the Sportsplex tennis professional staff he has the pleasure of working with teaching/hitting with players of all ages and skill.Nick spent five years as the Head Professional for the Monroe-Woodbury Summer Enrichment Tennis Program.

High School Tennis Class – ages 13-17 This class is designed for ages 13-17 who have played JV or Varsity level tennis and wishes to improve their game. With multiple coaches and courts, whether your child is a JV player or Varsity singles or doubles player, we provide the right fit and challenge.
