Spring Stoops McCullen Engineering, P.A. provides quality mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering for the construction industry. The firm combines the excitement and experience of mechanical engineers Keith M. Spring PE and David A. Stoops PE, and electrical engineer Steven M. McCullen PE, LEED AP. The three have more than 50 years of combined engineering design experience and began their working relationship over nine years ago. Founded in April, 2004, Spring Stoops McCullen Engineering offers a premier leadership team defined by seasoned job experience and a responsive personal level of service. The three principal engineers are supported by an excellent team of personnel that are efficient and focused. Mechanical Engineer Carl Stupka, PE enhances the team with his strong communication skills and his engineering vision. Carl is easily able to dialogue with the client, architect, contractor and engineering staff. He instinctively considers the impact of the project on the client ’s current and future needs. Wes Wagoner is a Senior Electrical Designer. His knowledge is unparalleled in the layout and design of electrical systems. Dan Dizon is also a Senior Electrical Designer. Dan has designed electrical systems since the mid-90s. Pat Goodman is our Senior Plumbing Piping Designer. He studied Construction Management at Columbus State College and has over twenty years experience. Pat is a North Carolina licensed P-1 Plumber and ASSE 6020 Certified Medical Gas Inspector. Frankie Thompson is our Senior Mechanical Designer with over twenty years of trustworthy design experience. Chris Bastin is a Mechanical Designer, CAD Manager and BIM guru. Chris is laying out projects using Revit, a 3 dimensional design tool. Our computer design technicians are Mike Owen, Johnnie Wilkins, Joe Luthman and Jason Tripp. Mike, Johnnie, Joe and Jason are knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems and well versed in AutoCAD. Juli Spring coordinates the marketing needs for the company and Brenda Maynard greets clients and vendors as receptionist. Our partners are committed to the success of each project. They will personally oversee every aspect of the venture. They will be in continual contact with all involved parties on the project. We approach each project with an engaging conversation between client and designer to determine the desired end result. After listening to the issues, we consider all the options available and make recommendations. The pre-design process is the ultimate time for collaboration between the client and engineer. When the involved parties have determined the goals of the project, the design phase begins. We are diligent about communicating the status of the design at every step. Our opinion is that value engineering should occur during the design, not after the project has been bid and it is over budget. Our project managers will assist in facilitating the bidding and continue to interface with the client and contractors throughout the construction. Keith, Dave and Steven believe that successful design will result in satisfied clients and build a broad level of trust.
