At A Glance Saint Mary's Hall was founded in 1879 on the principles of knowledge, self-confidence, and respect for others. In conjunction with a comprehensive college preparatory program, that philosophy remains as an important part of our curriculum. Originally organized by the Episcopal Church, Saint Mary's Hall is now an independent and coeducational campus for students and families of all faiths .

Roger Rosenblatt said, “A library should be like a pair of open arms,” and that is exactly what the Eleanor Duncan Sarratt Memorial Library is to students, faculty, and staff “down the hill” in the Lower School at Saint Mary’s Hall. The Lower School library is committed to developing effective users of ideas and information from an early age. The library’s inviting environment stimulates learning while providing a comfortable place for our youngest learners to have their first interactions with research technologies and a variety of literature.

The Healthy Life Skills curriculum is dedicated to helping Middle School students make healthy choices regarding their emotional, social, and physical lives. Students in Form 6, 7, and 8 spend a considerable amount of time learning about alcohol and drug prevention and education (including prescription medication).
