Steve became St. Matthew’s Administrator in September of 2013. He comes to St. Matthew with over 35 years of experience in providing leadership for health care communities and facilities, with stated goals of providing the best possible environment for patients to get high level care and quick recovery, and for residents to lead meaningful independent lives, to their maximum capability. Steve is a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives. He served as President for the Nursing Home Cabinet, the Life Services Network of Illinois, the National Delegate, Leading Age, formerly American Association of Homes and Services for the Aged, and as an Executive Committee Member for the Coalition of Associations representing Illinois seniors. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Roosevelt University in Chicago, a Master’s of Business Administration from Loyola University and is a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for the State of Illinois.

Yes, we provide both intermediate and skilled nursing in a caring community atmosphere. In addition to the wide range of health services available, we help residents enjoy life through our extensive recreational programs. Yes, we provide highly-specialized clinical and rehabilitative services (physical, occupational and speech therapies) to those who no longer require the acute care of a hospital, but are not yet ready to return home.
