Parts Specialist Company Standard Equipment Company has been a supplier of Environmental Equipment solutions for 40 years in the Chicago area. We sell, service, stock and supply parts for these units as well as rent and refurbish them. We rent new and used equipment. Requirements Candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, be detail oriented, and have the ability to communicate with customers, sales department, technicians, and parts drivers. Candidate should possess knowledge of inventory principles and procedures as well as warehousing techniques for proper storage and allocation. Parts Warehouse Specialist is directly accountable to the Parts Manager for fulfilling customer orders, placing orders with vendors, all shipping and receiving, stock put away, and managing delivery drivers. Success will be measured in terms timely delivery of customer orders, as well as maintaining proper inventory levels through accurate order placement and replenishment of inventory as required. Key responsibilities include: - Opening and closing yard gates on a daily basis. - Daily inspection of company delivery vehicles. - Pulling and packing previous day's customer orders. - Creating most efficient routing for customer delivery. - Monitor and adjust driver schedules on an as needed basis. - Receive back ordered parts and enter appropriate data into inventory system. - Fulfill pending customer orders. - Place daily vendor parts order for stock replenishment and fulfillment of customer orders. - Move inventory received from loading dock to appropriate locations. - Assist Parts Department as needed. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications: - High School diploma with additional schooling a plus. - Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a warehouse operation. - High level of computer literacy including fluency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet, and the ability to learn other software applications. - Valid driver's license with CDL preferable. - Ability to prioritize tasks and to meet critical deadlines, commitments, and time constraints. - Ability to operate forklift vehicle with certification a plus.
