Our staff is comprised of Fire Protection Engineers, Fire Protection Engineering Technicians, and administrative support staff. Our registered engineers are licensed in several states and Washington, DC. Tom Stanton, P.E., Principal tstanton@stantonengineering.com Mr. Stanton is the President and founder of Stanton Engineering Services, LLC, created in 1989 and located in Columbia, MD. Mr. Stanton received his Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection Engineering from the University of Maryland in 1980 and is currently a registered Professional Engineer in four states and the District of Columbia. He has been a voting member of three national fire and building code committees for 15 years. He is responsible for managing all engineering efforts and client coordination for Stanton Engineering including a variety of public and private projects. Mr. Stanton has extensive experience in designing fire suppression and alarm systems, developing fire models and smoke management criteria, managing project designs, as well as providing consultation on building and fire codes issues. Mr. Stanton is a member of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers, National Fire Protection Association, and National Society of Professional Engineers. He has also been a member of the Fire & Rescue Service since 1974 and FEMA US&R Task Force since 1994. Robert Beller, P.E., Project Manager rbeller@stantonengineering.com Robert Beller has extensive fire protection engineering experience including a wide range of Federal Government Facilities such as the DoD, DOE, GSA, SSA, and DHHS (NIH) as well as private industry experience in the power generation industry. He has performed fire protection design and consulting work in Business, Health Care, Assembly, Industrial, Residential and Education occupancies. He has designed fire alarm, sprinkler and specialized extinguishing systems as well as providing code analysis for life safety and general fire code compliance. He has worked as an AHJ for more than ten years and has been performing 3rd party code compliance reviews for more than ten years. Mr. Beller holds memberships in the Society of Fire Protection Engineers and the National Fire Protection Association. Nicholas Havrilla, P.E., Assistant Project Manager nhavrilla@stantonengineering.com Nicholas Havrilla has experience working in the public sector as well as a consultant and designer. He has worked as a project design engineer and jurisdiction code enforcement official (6 years) for a local county jurisdiction and as a Special Assistant State Fire Marshal. Mr. Havrilla has knowledge and experience working at the Pentagon on fire suppression and fire alarm systems in Wedge One. He has also worked on numerous other projects for the VA, DoD, DoS, AOC, and GSA that vary in size and occupancy types including, high-rise buildings, parking garages, healthcare facilities, dormitories, airport fuel storage, office buildings, assembly, and warehouses. He also has experience in site surveys, life safety surveys, acceptance testing of fire alarm systems and fire pumps, and hydrostatic testing of sprinkler systems. Mr.
