Description
Students must be able to meet the minimum internship length requirement of 3 months. Also, students are required to work a minimum of one, 8 hour shift per week. This internship area has a maximum capacity of 1 student at any given time. Students must also have prior experience in a veterinary clinic.
The internship is open to students who are currently enrolled, or recently graduated (within 1 year) in 2 or 4 year degree-granting program at an accredited college or university. Students must be enrolled in one of the following acceptable fields of study: biology, education, environmental science, veterinary technology, zoology, or other related majors. Past experience in animal husbandry is a plus, but not a necessity. However, students must be comfortable working with animals. The Zoo will provide on-the-job training.
