GRAND RAPIDS, MI, March 3, 2014 – Fortune magazine has recognized Steelcase Inc. (NYSE:SCS) as one of its 2014 "World’s Most Admired Companies" in the Home Equipment and Furnishings industry sector. This year, Steelcase is joined by notable companies including Whirlpool, Tupperware Brands and Stanley Black & Decker, among others. In the Fortune survey of executives that ultimately determine the "Most Admired Companies" rankings, Steelcase's highest scores came in the Innovation, Social Responsibility, Quality of Management and Quality of Products/Services categories.

The company's Related Person Transaction Policy governs the review and approval of transactions or arrangements between the company and any of its directors, executive officers, members of their immediate families and large shareholders. The Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee adopted this to provide appropriate oversight of these transactions and arrangements. This policy allows the company to monitor, and enter into or ratify, transactions that may raise questions among shareholders as to whether the transactions are consistent with the best interests of the company.
