Description

Andrea Tucker has been instructing baton and dancing for over 17 years. She has been a part of ASA for over 16 years, as a dance and baton student, teacher and business manager. She has brought home numerous regional and national awards. Though her forte is baton she is also trained in jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical and hip hop. In the past she has been the majorette and color guard instructor for Lima Central Catholic. While in this position she choreographed award winning routines that were performed at college level football games and have won top awards. In 2013 she was awarded a choreography award at the regional level. Currently, Andrea lives in Spencerville with her husband, Jason, their three dogs and many farm animals. In her spare time Andrea loves to scrapbook, cook and do anything outdoors. Andrea is currently working on her first cook book.

Susan Ward has been teaching the art of dance for over 30 years. With her love for theater, she has been in and or choreographed over 40 different musicals in the area theaters and schools. She has competed and judged regional, state and national dance competitions and pageants. Sue has choreographed routines for A Step Above competition team that has performed at Disney in Florida and have won overall and platinum awards. On the regional and national level she is known for her unique choreography and has been honored with numerous judges and choreography awards. Past year awards include Most Original Concept for her routine, Paradise (2010) and Most Entertaining awarded to her routine, Swan Fake (2012). In 2011 at Cathy Roe’s Ultimate Dance Competition Susan’s routine, Come Together won the Top Choreography award. This past year, in 2013, brought Susan new choreography awards and overalls.

Sierra has been a part of ASA for over 10 years where she has developed her amazing dance skills in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and tumbling. She has been a part of the competition team and helped the team win numerous regional and national awards. Sierra is a Senior at Shawnee High School where she is an active member of the Spanish Club and it taking numerous Advanced Placement classes. In the past she has also been a cheerleader and part of the yearbook staff. In her spare time she loves to participate in community service events, choreograph combinations and spending time with family and friends. Next year Sierra plans to stay close to home for college and major in Psychology to one day become a school guidance counselor. Relay for Life – We have performed for those walkers and supporters for over 17 years! We have had an ASA Team for the Allen County Relay for Life for 5 years helping to collect over $5,000 to help tell cancer to exit Stage Left!!!.

Billy has been a part of the ASA family for over 16 years, helping to bring home numerous regional and national overall awards. He has personally been recognized by the Ohio House of Representatives for his National titles. Billy has won several titles including Mr. Encore National title, two Ultimate Dance titles and was named A Step Above Dance of the Year in 2012. Billy graduated second in his class from Lima Senior High School where he was a drummer in the band as well as the drum major for his senior year. In high school Billy was involved with several groups such as band, drama, The National Society of High School scholars and Vice President of the National Honor Society. He was an active member of the Boy Scouts and in 2012 was awarded the highest honor in scouting and received the Eagle Scout Award. Currently, Billy is a sophomore at Ohio State University majoring in Psychology and plans on attending Law School after obtaining his Bachelors degree.
