Our Alton Center has been open since 1993 and provides care for 71 children ages 6 weeks to 10 years old. The Alton center provides a Pre-K program staffed by certified Early Childhood teachers and Home based Head Start services are available to eligible children attending. We provide before and after school care during the school year with transporation available to and from several elementary schools. We also provide a full day program for school age children during the summer months. The Alton program is open from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Our Brighton center provides care for 83 children between the ages of 6 weeks and 10 years. The Brighton center has two buildings, one for Infants and Toddlers and one for Pre-school and School Age. The program is in an excellent location (directly across the street from Brighton West Elementary and next door to Schneider park). We provide a Pre-K program sponsored by the Illinois State Board of Education within the Brighton center. The program also has a large Before and After school program for school age children with transportation provided to and from the local elementary schools by the school district.

Step By Step Inc. has been providing quality Early Care & Education programs for children 6 weeks to 11 years old since 1993. Our mission is to provide every child an opportunity to grow and learn in a warm and loving environment. Our five programs are fully licensed as Day Care Centers by the Illinois Dept. of Children and Family Services. Our Alton and Brighton locations offer a part-day Illinois State Board of Education Pre-K program for eligible children. All of our Pre-School programs are conducted in a full day - full care partnership with Head Start. All of our centers also provide a USDA approved food program for all children enrolled.
