Stephen is the President of Stephen Merritt, CPA, P.C.. He has over twenty years experience in the field of public accounting, assisting small to medium sized businesses and their owners with all of their accounting and tax needs. He is experienced in individual income tax preparation, Corporate and Partnership Taxation, Estates and Trusts, Not for Profit entities, and generally all aspects of federal taxation and the various states. Additionally, he is qualified in HUD audits, audits of small and medium sized businesses, reviews and compilations, accounting and internal control systems and numerous accounting software packages. Stephen also has extensive experience in the purchasing and selling of businesses, business plans, and other advisory services.

Located and established in Virginia Beach since 1995, Stephen Merritt, CPA, P.C. is dedicated to providing tax preparation and accounting services for small to medium sized businesses as well as their owners and families throughout the Hampton Roads area. It is our goal to maintain a strong relationship with various prominent local businesses predominately in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Suffolk.
