The three year fault-free warranty covers any damage to the drive that requires it to be repaired or replaced including failures resulting from lack of oil, fishing line, impact, neglect, and other abuse. Sterndrive Engineering, Inc. (SEI) manufactures a stern drive designed to replace Mercury Marine's MerCruiser®, Alpha One®, R, MR, Gen II and Bravo One® stern drives. MerCruiser®, Alpha One®, Gen II, R, MR and Bravo One® are trademarks of the Brunswick Corporation. SEI has no affiliation with the Brunswick Corporation. Consequently, any warranties governing products manufactured and/or sold by Brunswick Corporation will not apply to products manufactured and/or sold by SEI, or to products damaged due to the operation of an SEI product. Sterndrive Engineering, Inc. is not affiliated with Mercury®; Yamaha®; OMC® or their products. All reference to their trademarks and trade names are the property of the respective owners.

Often SEI is asked about the quality of our gearcases and how the company is able to offer such a product at a fraction of the OEM price. SEI's Gearcases are assembled at our factory in Clearwater, Florida. The parts come directly from suppliers around the world made to SEI's exact and precise specifications. Eliminating the middleman reduces SEI's costs and these savings are passed on to the customer. SEI also avoids using distributors thus reduces the company's costs at getting the product into the hands of the boat owner. As for quality, SEI's Gearcases are thoroughly tested for both performance and endurance. SEI operates one of the world's only research lakes dedicated to the testing of marine propulsion systems.

SEI's drives come standard with a three-year , fault-free warranty . This means that the unit is covered for any failure that requires the drive to be repaired or replaced. Run it without lubrication, crash into a stump, suck up some fishing line, it does not matter, the SEI drive is always covered.
