Attorney Sally A. Stix has over 30 years experience practicing employment and labor law. She opened her own practice in Chicago after graduating from Chicago Kent College of Law in 1979. In 1993, she relocated to Madison, Wisconsin. Ms. Stix is licensed and practices in both Wisconsin and Illinois. She represents employees before state and federal agencies, in state and federal district courts, before the Illinois and Wisconsin appellate courts, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court. She is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and its Wisconsin affiliate, the National Lawyers Guild, the Legal Association of Women and the labor and employment and individual rights and responsibilities sections of the State Bar of Wisconsin. She currently sits on the board of directors of the individual rights and responsibilities section. Ms. Stix has represented numerous unions, including locals of the United Food & Commercial Workers, United Electrical Workers and registered and licensed practical nurses. Since returning to Wisconsin, she has represented the industrial workers at ARAMARK laundry and the State of Wisconsin law enforcement bargaining unit, which includes Wisconsin ’s state troopers, UW and Capitol Police and Transportation Customer Representatives. Other clients include a Madison community radio station, WORT FM, a women ’s theater company and numerous individual employees. Ms. Stix has given presentations on federal employees ’ rights at National Employment Lawyers ’ Association Conventions and seminars and lectured at high schools on sexual harassment. In 1974, Ms. Stix graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a bachelor ’s degree in philosophy. She was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and became involved in the Civil Rights movement while still in high school. Since that time, she has been and remains an activist for progressive change. She is a current member of the board of her neighborhood association and volunteers for a youth peer court. Scheffler, is a native of Appleton, Wisconsin, graduating from Appleton High School East in 1996. He received a bachelors degree in political science with honors distinction from the University of Tampa in 1999. Prior to law school, he studied jurisprudence and comparative law at St. Anne's College at the University of Oxford in England. Mr. Scheffler attended law school at the University of Wisconsin, where he participated in the unemployment compensation appeals clinic, was a member of the moot court team, and was senior articles editor for the Wisconsin International Law Journal. Mr. Scheffler graduated and was admitted to practice in Wisconsin in 2002. Mr. Scheffler's labor and employment practice includes unemployment compensation claims, issues of workplace discrimination and employee benefits, federal employee representation before various agencies, and union representation, including a United Steelworkers of America local in his native Fox Valley.
