I often get asked how I got into this business. Here is one of my motivations. I had a waxed cotton Enduro riders' jacket in the 1980's. It was nice gear but after a couple of years it became frayed around the edges. Then I bumped into a mule deer in Greybull, Wyoming and the jacket was history. I had already made a pair of leather bib overalls that came through with little more then scuff marks. So a jacket seems the next logical step. The first jacket I made was hand sewn but unfortunately was stolen, so on to the second edition. This one was sewn on a treadle machine and was too small for cold weather use. Fortunately, designing has become may favorite part of this business. I like to keep at a project to get it really polished.
