At Stropes Editions, Limited we are charting a new path for music publishing and music education. Our goal is to document some of the most significant repertoire for finger-style guitar. We measure our success by how effective our publications are in teaching people to actually play this music. To this end, the first step is to ensure that the transcriptions are completely accurate and preferably that they correspond directly to commercially available audio recordings. By working directly with the composer, using state-of-the-art audio, video, and computer technologies, and testing the material with students, the result is finished products that work. This, in itself, is revolutionary. And now, using Skype, a free, web-based, real-time, video conferencing program, you may study directly with instructors who have wide experience in teaching finger-style guitar and working specifically with repertoire published by Stropes Editions, Limited Underlying this whole process is the concept of a direct relationship with the people who purchase our publications.
