VORTEX CLUTCHES ARE FASTER • Vortex torsion springs are attached directly to the levers for mechanical efficiency and consequently shorter slip time. Less energy is lost to clutch heating leaving more energy for acceleration. • Engine bogging or “drop off” has been eliminated. • Very smooth engagement, particularly important in turns where smooth kart control saves valuable lap time. • Vortex torsion springs are more precise than conventional compression springs and consequently prevent clutch chatter. • Fast, durable and consistent, even for heavy karts with road racing gear ratios and standing starts. • The aluminum drum dissipates heat five times faster than steel.
