STRUCTUS, Inc., is an award winning consulting structural engineering firm based in San Francisco. We provide innovative structural engineering to meet challenging seismic demands for both new construction and seismic-retrofit/historic preservation projects. STRUCTUS has extensive experience with seismic evaluation, retrofit, and rehabilitation as well as preserving historic buildings. STRUCTUS has completed over 100 seismic evaluation and retrofit projects including the San Francisco Opera House, the San Francisco State Office Bldg., San Francisco General Hospital's existing Main Building as well (as most of the older brick buildings within the campus), and Japan's Kagoshima Airport. STRUCTUS is experienced in design and analysis of all major structural systems, including the state-of-the-art base isolation and viscous damper energy dissipation systems used in our completed Kagoshima Air Terminal Seismic Retrofit in Japan, and in the San Francisco Opera House Seismic Retrofit Project.

Structus is a consulting engineering firm specializing in the structural design of buildings and special structures. Since its establishment in 1987, the firm has successfully completed many major projects in both the private and public sectors. Some of these projects have been published in Progressive Architecture, ENR (Engineering News Record), Proceedings for the 11th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering, Proceedings for the 2nd World Conference on Structural Controls, and "Structure" magazine. Structus is experienced in design and analysis of all major structural systems, including the state-of-the-art base isolation and viscous damper energy dissipation systems used in our completed Kagoshima Air Terminal Seismic Retrofit in Japan, and in the San Francisco Opera House Seismic Retrofit Project.

STRUCTUS is very experienced with providing structural engineering services for a wide range of city and municipal facilities including community colleges, hospitals, schools, libraries, fire stations, recreation centers, performing art venues, and others. Our representative projects include the new San Francisco Public Safety Building, San Francisco War Memorial Opera House retrofit, San Francisco State Office building retrofit, new Portola Library, new North Beach Library, Fire Stations 35 & 52, and the new Chinatown/North Beach CCSF campus for the city of San Francisco, the main library for the city of Menlo Park, the Del Norte County Courthouse Complex, and others.

San Francisco, CA The San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center is the only Level 1 Trauma center serving San Francisco and northern San Mateo County. The facility will be constructed using a base-isolated foundation. STRUCTUS is providing inspection services for pendulum friction bearing quality assurance, rebar tagging, concrete placement (including checking mix designs, performing slump tests, and preparing test culinders), structural steel welding, anchor bolt placement and torquing, fireproofing, and high strength bolting.
