Studio T-SQ. is a full service planning, urban design and architecture firm based in Downtown Oakland, California. The founding principal, Chek F. Tang AIA, NCARB, along with Chris Lee AIA, LEED AP and Chris Roberts AIA, LEED AP, are all respected and seasoned architects with well over twenty years of professional experience respectively.

We strive to engage intimately in our work, relationships and communities in an informal and collaborative studio team setting. As the Managing Principal of the Long Beach office, John brings over 25 years of experience in the design, planning and entitlement of complex mixed-use infill projects both domestically and internationally. He does this by developing win-win projects for his clients and the communities they build in. Each project is shaped by their environment and formedaround unique places for the community and the people they serve.
