Opened in 1995 by Frann Edley, Sugar Plum began its quest into the gift-giving world with its tempting chocolate dessert trays before branching out into an array of hard-to-find and one-of-a-kind items. Frann is still the matriarch here. Her youngest son, Neil, joined his mother at Sugar Plum in 2002 and the business has increased its mail orders as well as opened a full-service cafe at its retail location in Kingston, Pennsylvania.Sugar Plum shoppers will find an eclectic selection of handmade chocolates, gift baskets, invitations, handcrafted gifts, full baby and bridal departments, children's toys, picture frames, greeting cards, and gourmet foods.That famous chocolate dessert tray that launched the business includes everything from chocolate-covered potato chips to chocolate-covered pretzels and chocolate-covered popcorn.
